  • Hollybush Primary School located in Bramley, with a catchment area from two of the most deprived communities in West Leeds, held a highly successful World of Work Day on Wednesday 20th February 2008. 32 business volunteers from Leeds City Council, Arena Group, Immedia Productions, First Direct, HM Customs & Excise, Baker Harding and Best spent the morning working with 300 children at the school talking about their jobs, the benefits of working to health and family life and identifying dream jobs for the pupils when they grow up. These were then ‘planted' under a hollybush tree that was purchased by the Arena Group.   In the afternoon parents and local residents were invited into a Jobs and Training Fair where local employers and training providers talked about their opportunities to access jobs and training.
