Catalyst Centres

The Catalyst Centres will provide a physical hub within the city's more deprived neighbourhoods for entrepreneurial activity, business learning and business support. They will be run by networks of new and existing entrepreneurs. Local people will be able to run their businesses from these fully-serviced centres, "renting" desk space for as many hours as they require and linking into the vibrant network that will be created around each catalyst centre.

Leeds Ahead is working in partnership with the Catalyst Centres to deliver programmes of events, activities and workshops for start up businesses, as well as through brokering business mentor relationships between local businesses and new start ups within the Catalyst Centres.

The Catalyst Centres will be community-owned enterprises in their own right and continue in operation after cessation of funding.

Three additional Enterprise Centres will also be opened in other parts of the city and offer business support services for the duration of the Sharing the Success Programme. Leeds Ahead will also support these centres.
