Nigel Foster is a Director of Ove Arup and Partners and leader of the Transport Consulting business in the firm.  Nigel works closely with developers, promoters, Government and other agencies so that together they can deliver effective transport solutions.  His work is widely published and he is a recognised specialist within the industry.

With over 20 years experience in the public and private sector, Nigel has wide experience advising on policy, strategy and appraisal. He has been responsible for developing a number of integrated transport and regeneration strategies and has provided senior level policy advice to central and local government.  Nigel has also been responsible for appraisals and business cases to provide funding for numerous major transport projects which have involved both public and private sector investment. 

Nigel is a member of the advisory board at the Institute for Transport Studies and the University Court at the University of Leeds.
